A well-known weakness of the Mitsubishi EVO X is the cheap, all-plastic clutch master cylinder (CMC) that Mitsubishi decided to incorporate into their final redesign of the Evolution line. This is a serious downgrade from the all-metal CMC found in the EVO 8/9 when you consider the amount of stress the clutch system exerts on this flimsy plastic piece through daily driving alone. If you own an EVO X, especially one with a heavier race clutch upgrade, its only a matter of time before a premature failure occurs - leaving you stranded on the side of the road or ruining your day at the track!
